I just got home from Florida yesterday. I had such an amazing vacation, and was so happy to see all my friends, but most of all, my boyfriend, who I hadn’t seen in 5 months. I also finally had the chance to get my tattoo finished the last day I was there, which ended my vacation nicely.

I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have such supportive friends and a boyfriend who always stay in contact with me and care for me despite the distance. I honestly am so blessed to have someone like Genel in my life… who is sometimes the only consistency there is to my life. We even just celebrated our five year.

Right now I’ve kind of put myself in a rut. I miss Florida already, and my two week long return in July seems so far away. I mostly miss Genel, and having someone to fall asleep with at night, someone to laugh with, and go on adventures with. I also really need to find a new job that is going to help me save up more money to have when I go to FL again, along with saving some for the apartment Genel and I will be renting in New York next year at this time.

I just finished my second semester of college at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and just began a 5 week long online class, which has already proved to be very tedious. I took 7 classes / 21 credits last semester, including one 300 level upper division class, and managed to get all A’s and B+’s.

I guess I just need to remember to look at the positives. I mean as much as I am a Florida girl, I live in New York City, a place where thousands of girls my age dream to be living and starting career’s in. I have an incredible family, friends, and an insanely fantastic boyfriend who have supported me from day one in my endeavors. I have a place to stay until I can get my feet on the ground, and endless love from those who care about me. I suppose I can try and put my money troubles in the back of my mind, then maybe I’ll come into something.
